X on dedicated hardware

I have been thinking of setting up a machine which will be replacing most of my old computers. One thing that seems to be troublesome with VM is that there don't seem to be a simple way to allow a VE to access graphical hardware directly.I know it's possible with Xen, but not easy and not sure Xen is the right for me. Is it possible to setup so that a VE has access to a physical graphics card, which won't be used by any other VE or the host? The idea is that the VE will get all the benefits like hardware accelerated OpenGL, use TV-out and so on.
