| LinuxWorld Open Solutions Summit
| New York, NY, USA
| The Summit highlights examples of existing successful Linux and open source-based projects and features presentations by leading IT executives who will address the key considerations in their deployment, what worked and especially what did not. Multiple tracks give attendees the full spectrum of best practices across key topic areas including security, enterprise applications, the data center, and emerging trends like virtualization, high performance computing and grid. This Summit is the only event on the East Coast for the Linux and open source community that brings together industry leaders shaping the future of new enterprise technology with business and technical leaders deploying Linux and open source solutions.

Kir Kolyshkin presented a talk titled "Linux Virtualization Technology Alternatives". It gives a short overview of three main virtualization technologies -- namely emulation, paravirtualization and OS virtualization, outlining their pros and cons. Second part of the talk is devoted to OpenVZ, its components, features, and applications.
