OpenVZ состоит из ядра, пользовательских утилит и из шаблонов контейнеров. Ядро и утилиты нужны для установки OpenVZ, а шаблоны - для создания контейнеров.

Kernel

Kernel is the heart of OpenVZ. This is modified Linux kernel with virtualization layer added.

Utilities

Set of user-level tools needed to run OpenVZ. Consists of vzctl — an utility to manage containers, ploop — a library and a set of utilities to control ploop device, and vzquota — per-container disk quota configuration tool.

Templates

Templates are OS images for installation into OpenVZ container. An OS template is basically a set of packages from some Linux distribution used to populate a container. With OpenVZ, different distributions can co-exist on the same hardware box, so multiple OS templates are available. Here you can find various OS templates for different distributions.

Live CDs

Live CD is the best way to test drive OpenVZ without a need to install it.

Virtuozzo 7 installation image

Virtuozzo is a Linux distribution based on OpenVZ components.

Yum репозиторий

Если Вы используете yum, то Вы можете добавить openvz репозиторий для yum, положив download:openvz.repo файл в /etc/yum.repos.d/ директории на Вашем компьютере. Для получения большей информации об yum и OpenVZ репозитории для yum смотрите Yum.

GPG подпись

Помните, что все RPM пакеты проекта OpenVZ должны быть подписаны нашим GPG ключом. Детали смотрите в Package signatures.
