If that is possible, I'd like to see that advertised fiercely. If not, please be honest and say so. {{unsigned|Akrueger|00:54, 15 January 2007}}

: Answer: First, we do not say something like "a VE is exactly the same as a real server", we say "like" which means that a VE more or less resembles a real server, and that does not mean a VE have all the characteristics of a real server. So the statement "A VE is like a real server..." is correct.

: Regarding whether OpenVZ supports hierarchy of VEs, i. e. VE inside VE, the answer is no. Although some subsystems (CPU fair scheduler, UBC) are hierarchical and can be used to create hierarchies, some others are not. But in theory this is quite possible, so the question is how much the feature is needed, and how much it will cost to implement it (in terms of developers' time). So far we saw little interest in that, thus no plans to implement it in the near future.

: Hope I have answered your question in full, and it helps. Also, please notice that Wiki is like encyclopedia, so if you like to ask questions, forums and mailing lists are better media, or, as a last resort, you can use article discussion pages. --[[User:Kir|Kir]] 09:44, 16 January 2007 (EST)
