Debian people refer to versions of Debian distribution in a few ways: by nicknames, by numberic versions, and by statuses. The following table summarizes the relations between those referrals.
Note that ''status'' is changing over time, e.g. "Squeeze" will become is stable some time in futuresince 6th of february.
